The Reflection of Our Words

Yes, it is good to speak your mind.
Yes, it is good to be firm and not tolerate nonsense.
But pause and ask yourself —
are your words building or destroying the people around you?
The truth is, life is not only about what you have,
but also about who you have around you.
Your circle, your relationships, your influence —
they are part of your true wealth.
The Bible reminds us:
“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matthew 12:34)
So what is in your heart?
Is it bitterness?
Is it anger?
Is it pride or woundedness?
Because whatever fills your heart
will eventually flow through your words.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21)
And “a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” (Proverbs 15:1)
We are called to speak life.
To season our words with grace.
To build, not break.
“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt…” (Colossians 4:6)
So yes, speak your truth —
but speak it with wisdom, with love, and with understanding.
Because your words are a reflection of your heart.
Guard your heart.
Refine your words.
Speak life.
